MS 150 Bike Ride
April 29 - April 30
A leading fundraising event for the MS Society, this ride (NOT a race) takes cyclists from Houston to La Grange on day one, then on to the finish at College Station on day two. This is a huge undertaking, and the hundreds of volunteers keep everyone informed, safe, and aware during the weekend. Dozens of hams are needed to help pull this off.
A benefit for hams is that this event is as close to a real-time disaster drill as you can participate in without an actual disaster! If you’ve never tested your bug out and field comm skills before, or think they might be rusty, then this is for you.
